I had a zombie-stabbing dream this morning

I had a pitchfork. There were zombies. etc etc.

However:
[info]cataragon's minty meatloaf satisfies zombies
Candy makes a [info]littlel zombie friendly
Get a bunch of computer geek zombies (or possibly just KAOS zombies) together in a room and they will just sit around and talk.
Don't let the local feral cat population feed on fallen zombies. I'm not sure what the eventual outcome of that was due to waking up, but I'm sure it wasn't going to be good.

I dreamed of the bomb...

Imagine looking across the Canterbury Plains to the brilliantly clear Southern Alps and seeing the mushroom clouds rising beyond them; impossibly high into the atmosphere, impossibly far away, one after another until the sun is blacked out.

The fog begins to lift

Yesterday's big achievement was doing the grocery shopping and not ripping my sinuses out. Today I've managed 3 hours chargeable and mowed the lawns, the plague is receding.

Daylight savings has passed for another year, it was great to be able to match the time I felt like getting up with a reasonable hour this morning. There were weirder than usual dreams the last couple of nights - but I can remember enough of last night that I can mine some of the game-orientated ones (mmm quest for the King of the Dead and an angel entwined with a bone golem).

I already have several hours of 'bill paying' work queued up for the week, and an approach in my mailbox about a small project which may be more satisfying.

The cat just walked over my keyboard and managed to hotkey-lock-out the trackpad. Restarting didn't help - lcky I know enough about navigating windows without a mouse to find the settings and turn it back on.

Why is this happening @ 2 in the am? FaceBook status sez "Marsden is waking from dreams that most would consider nightmares. Sometimes being an emotionally disconnected individual has it's advantages."

The slave auction last night was good as a party, but one of the more ... inefficiently run auctions I have seen. The vocal members of the audience should not control proceedings unless they're actually bidding, dammit! OTOH, it is good to see prices coming back down towards an affordable level.

Stuff I want to get done today includes adding a site to the BoF directory (& google), processing last-night's photos + others and going shopping for a decent torch (so I can poke around in the ceiling and sort out the pipes issue) and a nice wool underlay. But there are also a bunch of things on the to-do list due today or tomorrow, and I'm not likely to have a whole lot of time tomorrow.

Not accepting offers from dragons in dreams

"Become like me and live as long as you can" indeed. Especially when the offer is delivered via interpreter so judging the tone is iffy, and just picking up a banknote ofthe realm to examine the design has proved to have unexpected connotations.

Having refused wealth, I woke up before I could diplomatically express that longevity doesn't hold any particular value for me either.

Had a long lie-in this morning, hopefully recovering from the past three late nights. HAve the sneaking suspicion my body-clock has been offset by two hours again though :(

The drinkies last night was entertaining.

...there is a distinct lack of attractive women waiting in my bedroom.
